About The Ram ProMaster

Nearly everything you need to know about the Ram ProMaster is right there in the name, it is a master-level tool for professionals. Whether you’re outfitting it for deliveries, hauling equipment to a jobsite, or for transporting people, the ProMaster has a configuration that will suit your needs perfectly. There are three different body styles, four cargo lengths, and a choice of three roofs. You can even opt for a roll up rear cargo door in place of the two hinged doors that come standard. The ProMaster is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces enough power to give the van a 4,680-pound payload capacity and 6,910-pound towing capacity, both when properly equipped. The engine is also engineered to be low-maintenance, part of the highly utilitarian design of the ProMaster.

What the Critics Say

"A box on wheels represents endless possibilities, and the 2023 Ram ProMaster van leans in to that flexibility with several body styles, cargo- or crew-hauling interior layouts, and impressive payload capacity. Tradespeople, delivery drivers, and #VanLife influencers will all find something to like with the large ProMaster van, which comes standard with a 280-hp V-6, front-wheel drive, and a nine-speed automatic transmission." — Car & Driver

"The Ram ProMaster is a big van, but it doesn’t feel all that cumbersome from behind the wheel. The ride comfort and maneuverability are much better than the more old-fashioned, truck-based, body-on-frame work vans of the past." — Kelley Blue Book

Ram ProMaster Features

Ram ProMaster

Superior Utility

The ProMaster is built to be able to handle whatever you throw at it, while making life as easy as possible for those using it. Power comes from a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 276 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. The engine is tuned to only need an oil change every 10,000 miles, and that means less downtime for one of your business’s most vital pieces of equipment. The ProMaster also leads its class with 520 cubic feet of cargo space, which means that there is even enough space for the Crew Van configuration, which gives you a second row of seats, so you can seat five people and still have a ton of cargo space. The body is designed to be able to handle narrow streets, but still offer a large enough opening in the back, 60 inches, to accommodate standard-sized pallets. Or you can load from the side, with sliding doors that open a full 49 inches, with a dual sliding door configuration available. A low floor, just 21 inches, makes loading cargo even easier.

Ram ProMaster

Endlessly Configurable

Vans are used for a wide variety of purposes, and a huge range of possible configurations is one of the several things that give the ProMaster an edge over the competition. You can get the ProMaster as a cargo van, a window van, or if your needs are more specialized, a cutaway with a cab and bare frame rails to mount whatever you need on. Ram even offers a solution for those who need to load or unload cargo in tight spaces, a roll up back door that replaces the hinged doors that need space on either side of the van to open all of the way. You can get the ProMaster with a 118” wheelbase and 8’ cargo area, a 136” wheelbase and 10’ cargo area, a 159” wheelbase and a 12’ cargo area, or you can get an extended 13’ cargo area on the 159” wheelbase. There is a standard roof, a high roof, and a Superhigh roof, which makes the ProMaster an attractive option for converting into a camper, an increasingly popular use for cargo vans. Whatever you need to do, there is a ProMaster configuration that will make it easier.

Helpful High Tech

Not everything that makes a van great comes from cargo space or door options. There is some great tech in the ProMaster that can make your job easier. For starters, there is a 7-inch touchscreen (upgradable to 10 inches) that uses the Uconnect® 5 operating system. This system is fast, intuitive, and compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, making things like navigation easy. There are a lot of driver’s aids too, including standard Traffic Sign Recognition, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, All-Speed Traction Control, and Crosswind Assist. There is also an available 360° Surround View Camera, and a Digital Rearview Mirror that can give you streaming video of what’s behind you, in case your view out of the back is obscured. There are parking sensors as well, and there is available Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, so the ProMaster can handle parking for you. Not everyone who drives a van for work is used to such a large vehicle, and if you’re buying a van to be used by a lot of people, drivers aids can be a good way to avoid costly accidents down the road.
