Ram Truck Bed Sizes Guide

Ram Truck Bed Sizes Guide - Sarchione CDJR

A lot of what you end up hearing about pickup trucks focuses on cab size and towing capacity. Even when someone mentions what the bed will carry, the discussion is usually about payload weights and not the actual size of the bed. But that’s important information as well, so we decided to put together a guide so you find all of the Ram truck bed size information you need all in one place.

Ram 1500 Tailgate

Ram 1500 Bed Sizes

No other pickup truck receives as much critical praise as the Ram 1500. This favorite of the automotive press earns its stellar reputation through incredible versatility and an interior that the competition can’t even hope to match. The bed of the 1500 offers some additional advantages, such as the available Multi-Function Tailgate, the RamBox® cargo management system, and the Mopar® center-mounted deployable bed step. And as you would expect, you have a choice between a tri-fold tonneau cover and a Mopar® roll-up version, and there is an available spray-in bedliner, also by Mopar®. There is both a 5’7” bed and a 6’4” bed available for the 1500, here’s a more detailed breakdown of what those numbers mean:

5’7” Bed 6’4” Bed
Bed Length 67.4 inches 76.3 inches
Bed Max Width 66.4 inches 66.4 inches
Bed Depth 21.4 inches 21.5 inches
Total Bed Volume 53.9 cubic feet 61.5 cubic feet

Ram 3500 Bed Capacity

When you need to do heavy-duty work, you need a heavy-duty truck, and that’s where the 2500 and 3500 come in. There are some differences between these two models, but the bed sizes are the same, and that’s why we’ve grouped them together. These heavy-duty trucks have beds built for toughness, but you still have options like the RamBox® cargo management system, a spray-in bedliner, and a tri-fold tonneau cover. Like the 1500, there are two bed lengths for the 2500 and 3500, a 6’4” bed and an 8’ bed. But even though the 1500 also has an option for a 6’4” bed, the volume of the bed is different on the bigger trucks, which is the sort of fact that makes it useful to have guides like this.

6’4” Bed 8’ Bed
Bed Length 76.3 inches 98.3 inches
Bed Max Width 66.4 inches 66.4 inches
Bed Depth 20.2 inches 20.2 inches
Total Bed Volume 57.5 cubic feet 74.7 cubic feet
